So I wanted to test a bootleg SF2CE pcb in my jamma cab but it didn't have the notch in the edge connector to allow for the key, I removed the key and proceeded to connect it backwards........:mad:
With a nice puff of smoke what exactly did I fry and what is it going to cost to fix it?
Plugged in the proper way it kind of a jumbled mess, can hear it coin up and start but the graphics are screwy......:(

It's probably fixable, but it will be a lot more than just buying another board.

If you want to give it a try, I guess you could follow the traces for what burnt and replace everything it touches. A schematic might help, too.

Someone's asking $80 for an SFII:CE in the for sale section right now. I guess the price on these went up? No idea why. Seeems like I see plenty of them out there.

If that is not a boot I could see it, I didn't really like the gameplay changes this one had so it's not much of a loss.

just chuck it out.

CE is worth about $65 shipped which really isn't much. HF maybe $75 and you'll get much more play out of it.

That is what I will do, would def like to add a CE or even better HF at some point in the future.:)
