how are you supposed to solder 2 resistors together?

I have a 100k and a 240k and I need to solder them together to achieve a specific value.

then I need to insert them into the neckboard on my monitor.

Do they need to be soldered in parallel or in series?

not sure what that means.

apparently there are 2 resistors on the neckboard behind the screen adjustment pot of my k4600.

I was told one of them was 330k @ 1/2 watts, I am assuming they are both that value. (though I have no reason for this) I will compare them and look up the value I suppose.

there are 2 in a row currently on the neckboard.

I don't have a 330k resistor, I do have 100k and 240k, equaling 340k close enough I've been told.

I need to know how to "hook them together" and insert them into the neckboard to be soldered.

That would be in series.....Parallel would be soldering them side by side....

I would solder one leg of the 100k into one hole, and one leg of the 240K into the other hole..... wind the two hanging legs together, put on a drop of solder, clip off the excess and you now have you 340k........
