How about a Eight Ball Champ Pinball for a PPII sitdown?

Personally, I'd take the pin over the PPII cockpit any day. That said, I am not a fan of Pole Position.

From the pics, both the playfield and backglass look great with no noticeable paint loss - and from a pinball standpoint these are the two most important areas. Is the playfield original or does it have an overlay? An overlay would affect the value to me, but YMMV.

From the pics it appears the boards and displays are functional - so it looks like a somewhat minor project with most of the work being cosmetic on the lower cab. I think it comes down to how comfortable you would be taking on a pin project - and what you feel the value of the PPII vs a project pin is of course.

You know how PP's have a reputation for being difficult to work on? I've always considered the 8BC to be the same.

And if you know nothing about pinballs, a project may not be in your best interest unless the PP2 is also a project (didn't look at the pics) and you think it looks good enough....

I am not sure about those yellow legs on the cabinet. Are those original? :)

Someone posted that here before. I have seen that before. Is that fellow KLOVer?

Yes, fellow KLOVer

I think he was looking for artwork scans or something.

Here's the info I got

"One Side of the side art is gone.Other side could be scanned for repro (just don't have the time)

Front Black Vinyl is gone (was nasty, so I peeled it off, just never bought the $5 sheet)

Coin door disassembled (rusty, was going over it, but ran out of time)

2 of the flippers do not work as of now (one still does)

Sound board needs to be capped, some switches mess up"

If it was an Eight Ball or Eight Ball Deluxe, I would make the trade because parts and art would be easier to locate.

I personally like the original Eight Ball the best although, most prefer Deluxe.

There are not as many parts available for the late Bally\Midway pinball machines. However, there are parts around. I have a Motor Dome and a Special Force that are about the same age as the Eight Ball Champ. The sound board needing capped is common.

Not a bad game ... up to you
