House of the Dead Right audio channel not working help

House of the Dead (Sega Model 2C CRX)

1. Tested the speaker using the Left audio connection and it works. So I know the speaker is good.

2. Hooked up the speaker to the output pins of the Sound board. Left side works, Right side doesn't. So I know it's not the wiring going from the output of the sound board to the speaker.

3. Tried another sound board in the cab and same issue. Left side working, Right side not.

4. Test menu, did all diagnostics tests and everything is good.

Is there a jumper for mono/stereo on the pcb itself? I don't know what else to try... any ideas?

Its either the main board, the audio harness from the CPU to the amplifier or the harness from the amplifier to the volume control. I suppose it could be the vomlume control as well.

I'd focus on the volume control and its harnesses first.

Thanks for the info I have an extra set of wiring harness' from a Virtua Cop 2. I will first try switching out the volume knob with the virtua cop 2 one, then the wiring harness if that doesnt work. Thanks for giving me a place to start.

Actually I may try the virtua cop 2 pcb in the cab first and see if I have stereo sound...

Wired Correctly?

Did it just go out, or did you acquire the game with the issue?

I only ask because I had a WWF Royla Rumble with a sound issue. I replaced the amp board, swapped out the game board and chased everything I could think of before looking at the wiring.

It was wired wrong from the get-go! The fool that put it together new wired the sound wrong, so it was like that for all of its life. I chased EVERYTHING, assuming that it was wired properly. I wired in different speakers, the different amp, etc. all to no avail.

Just a thought, hope it helps.
