So I got this machine a long time ago (2+years) in a warehouse raid. It was marked dead with bad monitor. I plugged it in the day I brought it back to my buddys. It was dead on arrival. We placed it in the back of the garage and left it for 7 months.. Pulled it out in the spring and plugged it in and it worked okay however the pcb was only displaying the blue sky, green road, and text.
My buddy Purchased a working pcb from quarter arcade and the game was alive again. I played it for about 30 minutes then stuck it in storage. I recently pulled it out some months ago and it was dead and non working again. i did some minor trouble shooting and cleaned up the fuse holder and replaced some corroded fuses. it powered right up and started working flawlessly. I unplugged it and left it off.
Now fast forward to 3 days ago. I plugged it back in and played it for 30 minutes straight. I was on my 4th quarter and almost to level 32. Then kapow, blue screen flashed. Then all I could see is green grass (jagged dark green roadway), and blue sky, and of course the text. The new pcb did the exact same thing it was doing when I first fired it up some years ago. the switching power supply was just replaced right after the issue with a brand new one as i didnt trust the old one.
Anyone have any ideas? I have a picture to post soon.
