Hi.

I have a Horsin' around that I have a few (!) questions on if I may:

1) Does the game run on two balls, or one?

2) The Carousel on top should be "in sync" with the one on the playfield right?
This is my assumption, otherwise why use a stepper on the Carousel?

3) is it normal for the power supply (AKA the box with the Step Down Transformer and a
Bridge) to be weak? Originally, I saw the voltage was very low, and it turned out that
someone had installed the wrong Lamps in the Coin door. When I removed them,
the voltage went back up to 13 volts.

4) One issue that I am having with it is after the game is on for a little while (~30 minutes)
The Coil that shoots the ball into play loses power, and it will sit there and keep trying
to shoot the ball out.

5) How low does the voltage need to drop on the home sensor of the carousel for the logic
to detect it? Currently, the logic doesn't "see" the Carousel (in test mode), and to me
it doesn't seem like the voltage drops low enough on the detector for the logic to see
it.

6) I'm only getting about 8.5vdc on the coil that kicks the ball out, and sometimes it
takes a lot of attempts to pop the ball out.

I replaced the TIP Transistor, and all the wiring is solid.

The schematics I have are complete, but don't show the coil, so I have no idea on what it should be.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for reading!

It only takes 1 ball. I had this issue with mine and I adjusted the solenoid so it is not as steep. Plus got a new solenoid and it fixed my issue.

I have one of these in my storage that needs balls and some work. Do you have a copy of the documentation for it electronically you can share? Also, a parts source? I will admit I didn't try hard to find either - its been in the back of storage for a while.

Thanks - Brian

I had the same problem and then I found an extra ball in the bottom of the cabinet and when I placed that in the game along with the other ball that was in there then the game started to play normally. So, my game required two balls.

The game uses 1 ball. Yeah I actually have that issue with mine. I just talked to Baytekgames and they have a new style solenoid that is supposed to fix that issue. Just ordered one should be here on Tuesday. Will let you know if it fixes the issue.

On ours we installed an additional PS to drive the upkick solenoid after too many voltage drop issues, been running trouble free for the last couple years (we only have 3 of em though, and only moderate use compared so others at the same location like wonder wheel, etc..)
