Hi, just picked up a 1980 Sega Monac GP which had a non working monitor, The neckboard was cracked to I fixed the broken traces but now I think I am getting horizontal collapse. Just want to clarify that if the monitor is mounted vertically and the line is running up and down the screen that is horizontal collapse. Am I correct on that?

If the line is the LONG way, it's vertical collapse (yours). If the line is the SHORT way, it's horizontal collapse.

What type of monitor is in it?

So I have vertical collapse, I was confused because the monitor is mounted vertically so I thought it was horizontal collapse. It's a 14" matsushita monitor.

Here is a picture of what is going on. Besides bob roberts where can I get a cap kit for a 14" matsushita chassis, I just ordered some stuff from bob and would rather buy it from somewhere I can use paypal so I don't have to get another money order for just a cap kit.

a cap kit might help with other issues with your chassis but wont fix your verticle problem. You either are missing the voltage that drives the verticle section, or it probably has a verticle IC that is bad, or least likely, a problem with the yoke or its connection.
