Last week, TofuDrifter81 posted he had knew where some cocktails and other machines might be had. http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=244606

Which for me is like saying there's free beer somewhere! I PM'd him and asked if I might stop by. RenegadeFred also stopped by on Sunday so it was the Hoosier episode of "American Horders Arcade Pickers" (I bought a cool light-up pub sign, too). Here are a couple of pics.

Look at the smile on Fred's face, the Devastators upright coined up and played!

Check out the sideart on that SNK! It's a joust! I wanted that so bad, but I knew I wouldn't restore it the way it needs to be, someone else should have that beauty!

I'll have some pictures up soon to add to this.

It was a great adventure that day! Yes I was excited to find that the Devastators game was actually working. Thou I need to identify the monitor chassis. I'll make a thread on that in the appropriate section. It really could use a cap kit. The artwork thou seems good in pictures was rougher then it seems. It's going to eventually become my 60-in-1 cab, since I want one out for the hangout space.

I also picked up two Ms. Pac cocktails. One which was missing the game board, also missing the flyback on the chassis. So that one is being gutted for the good parts, to make one good cocktail out of the two. I'll order the parts for the chassis and will attempt my first cap kit along side instilling a flyback too. Can't really do any harm at that point.

The second one, was a "mystery" cocktail, as it was locked and had no idea on if it was complete or not. TofuDrifter81 was kind enough to drill the lock out so we could all find out what was on the inside. It was complete! Thought we'd get lucky and plug it in. Monitor fired up, waiting.. waiting.. Nope no game.

Didn't think nothing of it till I had time today to do some testing. Pulled the boards from the cocktail, and plugged them into the upright. Which they ended up working. Graphical errors and such. The board has a speedup chip and a maze pack.

Went back to the cocktail and searched again, it wasn't just a fuse.. it was actually 2! She fired up after changing those and after some time most (not all) of the graphical errors went away, with me re-seating some of the chips.

All in all, it was a great day, good times. Got to hang out with TofuDrifter and Jcellegood. We also spent some time at the arcade out there which was awesome! I set some high scores on a few machines too!

Special thanks goes out to TofuDrifter for the awesome hookup on the deals, and thanks to both for the fun times!

That looks like a Joust 2, rarer game for sure. Nice grab fellas!

Yup. That's defenitely a Joust 2!

Hey Fella's. WOW a joust 2 cab. I might go buy that for $100 that's what he was asking for it. that spinal breakers cabinet that I thought was cool but couldn't ID is a origional Track and Field cabinet anfter I did some digging. I might go buy that to to reconvert it back.

Updating with some pictures

The "unknown" Ms. Pac.

TofuDrifter, being the nice guy that he is, cleaning up the Devastators a bit for me. Or maybe it was because he wanted to play and actually have a decent control panel and screen to view?

Here's the 3 cabs I ended up picking up, which I'm very happy with. All need some cosmetic work.

Then we ended up at the arcade, where TofuDrifter and Jcellegood were playing some pinball.

The next few pics are of the Ms pac and the graphical errors that I ended up having.. it started out like this..

Which then somehow happened to get to this screen next

After pulling the board and doing a quick once over making sure things were connected and seated correctly, I now have this final product. A Red Ms Pac Man?!?!

After some research, I'll be checking around the 2A and 3A after work today, to see if I can't get Ms. Pac, and the ghost's back to normal. Still playable thou!

Speed up chip, and maze pack are installed, the neighbor kid and I spent a couple of hours playing it.

Do me a favor, please sell me your monitor bezel when you do that 60-1 so I can stop posting in the WTB section :D

If I choose to go the LCD route.. I'll gladly sell the monitor bezel to you. Right now that cab is on the back burner. Awaiting some repairs, sanding and a paint job.

I am a fan of the CRT's thou, so I can't promise anything yet.
