Hello all, I have a hoop fever machine that will randomly reset itself in the middle of a game. All connectors and wiring look good. Board looks good. Fuses are good. There is no pattern as to when this happens either. Sometimes it's in the middle of the game, other times toward the end. Any ideas?

This is going to sound stupid but check that the transformer hasn't broken away from it's mounts. I have one that the transformer broke the mounts and when it looses contact with the broken mounts it randomly locks up. I'm assuming it is some sort of grounding issue that happens when the transformer moves from it's mounts.

Thanks. I will check that. I assumed it was some kind of grounding issue as well. I did see a post in another thread about verifying the grounds and found the metal plate in the bottom of the cabinet had a disconnected ground wire. I fixed that and so far haven't heard anything. Fingers crossed that was the issue. I will check the transformer too.

Check the metal plate on the floor in front of the ramp that lowers to release the balls. If it is not grounded, the balls generates static which jumps to the harness on the side of the machine, causing a reset.
