I just spent the entire day changing burnt out lights, all the rubbers, broken plastics, waxing the playfield and adjusting leaf switches and I can now confidently say that this machine works more solid than any other pinball I have. It is in amazing condition. It was owned by a local church in their rec room where it received generous play, but nowhere near the thrashing it would have received in a public arcade. It sat dormant for 7 years until now.

As I previously stated, the entire playfield was disassembled today and I replaced all the burnt out lights and every single rubber ring. I also gave it a nice coat of wax as well. The only thing I have bad to say about this machine is the super cheesy '80s translite, which you either have to love or hate. Personally, I kinda like the charm it has, as creepy as it may be.

The machine comes with the original manual and the original gold legs. It is ready to set up and play, this machine is certainly not a project or a fixer-upper by any means.

I am asking $1000 or best offer, will trade for a different pinball machine, let me know what you have.

There is something about Gottlieb pinball games that makes them just suck. The art is bad and game play probably is too. It is really mint but it screams 1986. Some things in the 80s just sucked (big hair, pink neon and those Gottlieb pins). Someone will appreciate it though and you will sell it.

It would be fun to redo the Translite art and side art to make it actually Top Gun in Photoshop.

It's a nice looking machine, but how did you determine it was HUO? Do you have the original bill of sale?

The church I got it from were the original owners. I don't doubt them. Though I don't have the original sales info, I don't have any reason to believe this was in an arcade. There's virtually no hand wear, the coin door is mint, there's no dust or garbage inside, and it's simply in too good of shape to believe this was out in the wild.

And this is why thankfully I can get all these great gottlieb/premiere titles for bargain basement prices - because bally/williams pin snobs won't touch these games, favoring the 100th fan layout in favor of pins that are actually interesting, unique, and fun. And the translites are half the awesomeness! if you can't appreciate the extreme 80s cheese of Gold Wings, Raven, Hollywood Heat (Steve Ritchie's favorite table...) etc then I don't know what to tell you except go back to your boring old existence.

People rip on the 80Bs all the time but they were some unique games. Granted the translites suck but most of the games are really pretty fun.

easy way to tell if was CUO...or as you are saying HUO...
assuming it was on free play at the church and while in your posession. is there evidence coins have dropped through the coin insert slots or coin mechs themselves. is there finger ware, right where you drop coins in the coin insert.? look at the coin chutes themselves from inside the coin door and inspect for roll down ware.. are coin mechs even in it? do they match? are they in brand new "unused" condition? are they the brand that were shipped with the game?

CUO, HUO, If the condition is there and you're looking for a Gold Wings it's irrelevant. Nice looking game there, how hard is it to find the topper??? The Church didn't have it??

the problem is, the term HUO usually commands more money. so its very relevant to most.
just as the term "routed" game usually throws up red flags and lowers prices.

its kind of a shoot first and ask questions later kinda thing.

people assume HUO- mint, low plays, never in public
people assume routed= trashed, lockbar holes, blown out...

BUT....I am not one of those people and i do judge by condition first.
i have seen routed games in better condition than some HUO games...esp after many years..
but most do not.

Good luck in selling. just educating here in what to look for to prove your point..
