Home-Use Only Donkey Kong?

Hgloth, I'm not sure yours is in the database. I'd love to get the info from you so it can be added.

hey, where is the database these days (assuming you are referring to the DK/RS database)? Is it still an excel file? Please post a link.

I know by the time I was dropping a lot of quarters I always used the left slot, since some games had slots to each position. Did people tend to favor the left or right slot during the classic era or did that not crop up until Gauntlet?

Back in the day, as a 10 year old punk, I was paranoid that if I didn't drop the quarter into the left slot for Player 1, that it might not count! So I was a lefty for sure!

I know where the thread is, but where is the spreadsheet? :) I made it through about page 37 of the thread, with another 14 pages to go, and the last version of the spreadsheet I saw was around page 27 or so. Is there a more updated version toward the end of the thread, or is that link on page 27 or so that goes to the current version?

Interesting. I don't recall having a "favorite coin slot" back in the day. The only thing I *DO* remember, is if one coin slot didn't work, instead of trying that one again, I'd go to the other one.

Possibly that line of thinking came about because the pool hall(Odyssey) used both quarters and tokens. Same coin mechs, but human error accounted for.

It ran deeper than that for me. If the left coin slot did not work, I would grab my quarter back and find a different machine to play!
