Home Run Classic WALL Arcade Game by CES

I found this one: http://www.arcade-history.com/?n=all-star&page=detail&id=14030

Kind of like what you're talking about right?

I think we don't see alot of these games around here because most were put in Europe from what I've heard. They look really cool, I'm not sure how old they'd get though. I saw one made by Sunbird called Tombstone and really wanted it, mostly for the nostalgia value.

One of my coworkers bought one for one of his friends who owns a bar.
According to him they used to play the same game at a local bar when they were younger ( he's in his fifties) he brought it to the shop to clean up and replace the bulbs and what not. It uses a crude remote box with a switch on it (I believe it was wireless). He showed me how to play it and after I got the timing right I kicked his ass at it every time. Pretty funny, they are pretty fun. I'd imagine they would be a lot more fun while under the influence.

there was a huge thread on wall games a while ago i think, they are really cool, I never seen one in person only pictures. Anyone have any videos of them in action?

Anyone familiar with these? Are they fun to play?

They are fun. The one I have in my game room, Trapshoot Classic (by CES) gets non-stop play at game parties. Even non-gaming people like them because they are very very easy to learn to play. Usually if they go second in a two-player game, by the time it's their turn they understand and know what to do. And it's easy, just press a single button, no complicated controls to learn. So they feel good about being part of the game party because they can play a game, even though beforehand they had no interest.

The gamers like the games too. Kids like them too. Fun all the way around.

I'm speaking on Trapshoot here though, baseball may be different.

joemagiera,

How does trapshoot work, is there an actual target that comes through the screen when it's on, and then you time it? I see a still picture of it, no target there to hit?

I sold a Wall Game and all I can say is "boring" no sound, and game play was lack luster. It's more o a neat to have item, kinda like a pocket bike.

On Trapshoot Classic, it's all timing. The trap comes from the left or right, at variable speeds and goes across the screen. The bullet you fire is aways at the same speed coming from the middle bottom. There is no aim, it's all a matter of timing, knowing your bullet speed and recognizing the trap speed to see if you make a hit.

On the old Gremlin Trapshoot there is no sound. On the CES Trapshoot, there is sound (although it's fairly repetative and boring). Still a great game though.

Every 5 shots or so is a "doubles" where a trap comes from both sides, and you still only have one shot at it. If you hit them both as they cross, you get double points.

I can take a short movie of mine in action if you want to see it.
