So I picked up an Alive home pin. You know the one that has a mix of Elvis and Conway twiggy on it. I think it's supposed to be Tom Jones but whatever. I didn't work and I ended up getting it playing. The only problem is that it sucks, bad. Nobody in there right mind would ever buy it and I don't think I would feel right fooling someone who doesn't know anything into buying it anyway. So I am thinking of a re-theme since I am stuck with it. I am torn between a big lebowsky theme or a mini Kiss pinball. Any thought opinions would be appreciated on how to do it, add music, voices, and a couple of ramps. Or is this just plain douchebaggery and should I forget about it.

Do something like other people have done. There have been home made ones with these themes:

The Three Stooges (excellent)

Futurama

Astroboy

Of course your "mini Kiss" pinball theme might be nice. How about a mini Elvira instead?

Even if you retheme it, it still sucks. If you are going to invest all that time, pick a better machine.

Elvira might be sweet. I seriously thought about just getting rid of it but I can't bring myself to trashing any machines. No matter how crappy they are they are still cooler than nothing. I like the idea of trying to put some life back into it. Any thoughts on how to incorporate some different sound or music? Obviously the two crappy songs it plays will be of no use.

I have one of these as well, but it's years from getting unwrapped to look at it. I thought it might be cool to not only rework the playfield, but to redo all of the electronics. The guy I got it from (for free) told me he didn't know if it worked so I'm assuming it doesn't. Maybe I'll retheme it to "Dead!".

This is what the little gay pinball looks like. LOL I would use for fire kindling. I couldnt waste time or energy into something that is still gonna suck when done again. Put the time and labor into fixing the Dk Jr or just sell to me, so it can finally get redone.

I've seen the playfield picture before, but have not seen the inside of the cabinet, the underside of the playfield (showing the details of the mechanics), or the circuit boards or interior of the backbox.

Does not look like a bad machine.

Art aside, the layout is kinda amusing.... 3 spinners? Okay. Pop bumper surrounded by passive slings? That just makes me smile.

I've found a place to buy the little re-recordable things they use in greeting cards. It seems to me that a guy could add a few of these things pretty easy and you'd have music or voices. I'm not quite sure how I'd amplify it though. @ken I'll get you some pictures this weekend of the inside this sucker is buried in the boneyard.
@Rob- you told me I had to clean the boneyard out so you can't complain about the order I do it in. At least I got high impact done today. All these little projects add to the funds. DKJR and Cyclone have to be done right, no duct tape on them when there done.

be warned that those little recorders don't last very long...
