I know a bunch of you guys have a home theater. I was wondering how much your theater is incorporated into your "gameroom". I know growing up, most movie theaters had a gameroom to spend money in while you waited for your movie to start, but not all of those are still around.

I just showcased a pretty awesome gameroom that was like an honest-to-goodness movie theater with concession stands, a huge screening room with real movie seats, and had tons of movie and pop culture memoribilia along the walls.

check out the showcase on Suzore #2 and look at the pictures http://bit.ly/mud5XX

If you have a home theater, do you have a game in the same room, or is it just outside? Post your pics!

Preston, I just added these auditorium seats recently, then mounted my Creepshow posters on the wall behind them. The seats are 80 years old.

This area along with the drive-in speakers I mounted, and the other set of old theater speakers(I need to mount yet) kind of add a cool effect to my arcade. A group of people can sit down and "view" one side of my arcade like you would a movie(at least that's my theory).

Click on my photobucket link in my signature for more pics if you haven't seen them fellas!

A HT/Arcade set up is one that I am striving to achieve. Although I'll be favoring more towards the Home Theater aspect than arcade. Current space is restricting, however I have all the pieces and money put aside for this type of venture.

This is one of those threads that I can't really contribute an actual picture unless it's a few years from now, lol.

I've upgraded my center channel since this picture.

MAME in progress. Might take a few more months, lol.

JP pinball is missing!

I've got plans to add a projector, screen, 4 subs, 6 more surrounds. End result will be an 11.4 system with a 10 foot screen. :) Just need a bigger place first, lol.

Gorfchampion - Nice touch on the Creepshow posters! I love both of those movies but part 2 is my favorite. So many classic one-liners in that movie and I watched it a million times as a kid. Me and a good friend of mine will drive people nuts on road trips quoting Creepshow 2.

My home theatre currently has 3 pins (Pinbot, Space Station & Party Zone) along with a cabaret Tempest and cabaret Centipede modified with the Multipede kit. The two vids are moving to a different area to make room for the Tron pin next month. It will have it's own dedicated space in the home theatre room next to my framed Space Paranoids poster and my autographed glossy of Cindy Morgan aka Yori from Tron who I met recently at the Motor City Comic Con. She was really nice and we had a great time talking about Tron and Caddyshack.

Thanks! Both posters are original one-sheets. "The Raft" is my all time fave from both Creepshows....

I'm in the process of building one. Gameroom is at the bottom of the stairs. Go around the corner to more games and a bar area then to the entrance of the home theater room. Pics when done.

I like how Wolfinator layed out his gameroom/theatre room. He put a Centipede and a Ms.Pac in the rear, with seating and big screen in the front. Hopefully he chimes in for this thread with his pics.

My theater is accessible through a doorway in my arcade that leads through a small hallway into the theater. It is flanked by an original Lucasfilm Han Solo in Carbonite (pulled from the original mold), and my popcorn machine is currently in the theater itself. I used to pop it in the arcade, and as soon as I finally move out the billiards table here very soon, I will probably move it back into the game room.

I was originally going to make the entrance to the theater "hidden" in a similar manner (but not quite as elaborate) as what 30fathomdave is doing with his arcade entrance. But since i have a projection setup in the game room, just before you enter the door to the theater, I found that first-time visitors were ALREADY blown away by finding out about the theater after already seeing the first projection setup in the arcade (which is used for games primarily).

I have contemplated putting up signs and other theater related items, but I already have some movie posters up in the game room area. It would be very easy to decorate the game room for a different flavor, but I just never felt the need to make it feel "cluttered" with a lot of miscellaneous things. I am contemplating hooking up some lasers that won't take up a lot of space or be noticeable until they are turned on. The Galaxian laser setup that has rotational capabilities is rather cool looking. One of those along with a couple of the cheap star field generators might really change the ambience when the situation calls for it...

I had a very nice theater in my gameroom, but I had to scale back since it all going into the garage now. The creen alone ran me $700. If anyone is thinking about adding one, let me know and we can maybe come up with a deal. Sanyo HD projector, 104" screen and 25' of each set of cables (DVI,video, Smart, R/G/B) and they aren't cheap..LOL

I moved my theatre out into the main bar/lounge area, and moved my arcade into what was once my dedicated theatre. For the seating backdrop, I picked up and framed some 50's and 60's Sci-Fi Movie Theatre Lobby cards, painted a giant metal star and now finally have it looking closer to cool. Pics:

Dude...your black chair on the floor closely resembles the "Bionic Chair" that I won during my time on Starcade.

Just for you Shawn! Sorry for the crap pictures, I was in a hurry!
