I started my next project, A snes mini arcade. I'm done with the
rough build. My table saw shit the bed so i had to make do with just a band saw and a drill. I'm just waiting for the controls to come. I think its going to come out good, we'll see.

that's a lot of screw holes to fill!

is it going to be cartridge or emulator based? if you're using a console, are you going to make it so that cartridges plug into the top?

i know but thats ok. its going to be cartridge based and it will be acessable through the back. check out my other one i made. mini pacman. i will post more pics as i go.

You should copy the store display. It's a pretty easily replicated design. Here is a pic of mine. If you decide to change yours up, I could send you better pictures and dimensions.

nice, hope to see some more pics soon. Are you gonna apply vinyl to the cab or paint it? If it goes well, you should think about modeling another style cab which could be wide enough for both player's controls at the same time.

i was thinking of painting it gray with red trim and slaping a couple of these on it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250507694063&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
he can make me 9"x9". how would i go about getting some vinyl? i think im taking a brake after this one. i would love to make a full size cab but space is limited.

I believe you can order some plain black vinyl from Thisoldgame.com. He may also have different colors. The guy who operates it is a member here by the name of Rikitiki. You should hit him up with an PM to see if he'll send you a sheet.

I've got one of those as well that I'm trying to sell. Mine is the 7 foot tall one with a much bigger monitor.

really? How much are you looking to sell it for? going thru craigslist?

Sorry for the threadjack. I'm asking $250. It's like this one (not my video or kiosk)

Mine is missing the arms that stick out and hold the controllers. I have one of the metal brackets that goes on the back of the controller but nothing else to attach the controllers to the rest of the unit. It's in pretty nice cosmetic condition otherwise , missing a couple of screws, and needs a new lock ($5 at Home Depot/Lowes). It plays fine but the middle set of speakers is unhooked because there is a buzzing sound coming out of them probably caused by a grounding issue. It's PLENTY loud without them.

I'm leaving for vacation early tomorrow morning. I can send you some pics next week. Send me a PM if you are interested so I will remember.
