Home arcades that have names

Galaxy II here (my childhood arcade was called 'Galaxy')

Awesome idea, I might do the same thing. Mine would be Funplex though (yes, the one from South Park). Since then it's been changed to Phat City, Mr Biggs, and now it's Fun City.

I'm going to ask around to see if I can find any Funplex stuff. Thanks for the great idea!

My arcade was called:

But - it´s about to move..... :/

I've been going back and forth between "The Dungeon Arcade" and a more Pirate theme "Davy Jones Locker". I haven't decided which one sounds better yet and I'd love to have one of those signs made for both! I wonder what IvanTT could come up with for designs? I kinda like the Pirates of the Carribean Skelleton at the ships wheel in the storm effect!

For the past 3 years I've turned my little room into the Hallowcade on Halloween night. Each year it gets bigger and bigger with more people attending. Other than that, I don't have a name for it..

No logo, but mine's called Piparcade or Pipcade - my family is still debating it. (my last name is Pipa)

I like that idea, but I'd go with Pipacade (leave out the "r"), that flows better spoken phonetically as, pip-a-cade instead of pip-r-cade.

I think it needs an M in there. Yes folks, introducing the Pimpacade. Its Pimptastic. :)

Funny. In ninth grade I was called Pimp because of my name. I've been called many things based on my last name - pimp is one of them :) not sure I could easily explain Pimpcade to my 10 year old daughter :)

I'm still solidifying mine...

space/scifi theme like most arcades of the era, and an admittedly lame pun about this hobby: Space Drain (or The Space Drain Arcade)

No signage yet but i'm prepping for an arcade party near halloween (and open to passersby on halloween night), so maybe ill do a sign by then

I can't believe how long it's been since I posted on this thread. The initial post showed a mock up of our arcade name in paper. Well, here's a recent picture of our arcade name neon sign(s) (each word is it's own neon sign) in our new basement arcade in TN.

Alpha Centuri

It sounds outer spacy and I like Centuri games.

So I had tokens and T shirts made.

I handed out shirts to friends at Zapcon several years ago.

I have a nerd gathering at my place every year called Centuricon.

I still have my "Zombies Ate My Arcade" game room downstairs - though it's all pinball machines now.

The vids that remain (Berzerk, Sinistar, and Satan's Hollow) have been moved upstairs to "Room 237," along with more pinball machines.

My building is called Game Galaxy, downstairs room is called Pixel Planet (where all the vids are), upstairs room is called Lunar Lounge (where non vids like air hockey, ICB, pinball, atari 2600, apple iie and ultimately skee ball will be). Haven't gotten the signs made yet though.

Still true, though the configuration of upstairs and downstairs has changed since then.

The vids that remain (Berzerk, Sinistar, and Satan's Hollow) have been moved upstairs to "Room 237," along with more pinball machines.

We just re-watched The Shining last week while visiting my mom. Don't go in room 237!
