Home arcades that have names

No logo, but mine's called Piparcade or Pipcade - my family is still debating it. (my last name is Pipa)

My name is a little less than creative, but it works! :)

Very cool. Did you make that yourself with some old "Light Brights". :) I have actually thought of doing something like that, but haven't looked very hard for the parts.

I don't have a sign or anything yet, but was thinking along the lines of CaldwellCade (my last name). It's not terribly creative and I need something with more zing.

Well, I've laid claims to 2 names, I can't decide which I will use or just use both.
1. Circa '82 (with a blue cursive neon Circa and a pink neon '82)
2. The SpaceMine (in homage to sci-fi themes, and my favorite arcade The GoldMine
3. The SpaceMine: Circa '82

But I must first get a dedicated space with the room to house my collection and future acquisitions. Thanks to all the replies thus far, I will promptly direct my friend to this thread, as a great example of what's out there by fellow members. And of course, more responses are invited. Thanks again.

Whenever I get a clean garcade setup, I was thinking "Wicket's Hut" since I'm a Star Wars fanboy. I actually have a few good Wicket related items that I could display around a custom sign of some sort. Plus, my dog's name is Wicket and he'll probably hang out in there a lot with me.

What do you guys think? Lame? Awesome?

"Ayer Arcade"

Luck may have it that "Ayer" is Spanish for Yesterday. So in Spanish it is Yesterday Arcade. Effective here in SoCal and since its my last name. The custom neon sign is seen at the end of the video. The game lineup and layout is a little diffeent now, but you get the idea.

My game room will be called Area 51 Arcade. A friend of mine who worked at a sign shop designed a logo and then made a big sign for me, as well as two smaller ones that I can put in various places (my avatar also has the logo).

My actual game room is not built yet, so for now everything is set up in the garage. Here are a few crappy cell phone pics of the big and small signs. Hope to be posting pics of the "real" arcade some day soon.

On a different, but related note you can do pretty cool things with some C7, C9, or mini-lights, a piece of plywood, a drill bit, and some paint...

(Star at top of the house is 6'2" and has 187 C7 lights on it)

I really don't think there is a need to spend tons of cash on custom lights when you can put your imagination to work. :) One day I'll actually live by those words and do something stupid for our little arcade... but for now, I'll let the beer talk and post pictures. :D

Mine is called The Grape Escape. Basically because my gameroom is "wild grape" purple and I like to escape from everyday life and play some classics.

We've named our the 'GAME GRID ARCADE'. It's a mixture of both Tron themes and Flynns Arcade themes. Here's a mock up of our sign that I'm still working on...

Here's the main reason for the name... there are light cycles at the end of the light walls...you just can't see them in the picture.

Wow, some really great aracade names and signs to go with. Nice!

Going a bit in the other direction from tech and space, I've gone with a more of a dragon/medieval theme lol.

Where did you find those insane lights. They look like they belong in an Aladdin's Castle. And props for a great sign.

You also need some sideart from the area 51 arcade game. I have a sheet framed in my game room. I think I have another extra that you can have cheap. If interested I can post a pic.

Mine is called "the Game Pit"

Had a custom sign made to hang over my change machine. Even had t-shirts made for my son and I.

Dude I'm digging on that game room! Awesome collection of games, good mix. Great use of lighting you have there, awesome atmosphere.

Those are actually candle holders from Design Toscano. I use LED candles in them and they look fantastic and real enough in person with the 'flicker' mode.

IvanTT did the signage. And much like Phet's Galaxy Blue sign, mine has the multiple layers. He did a few other fantastic signs for people here! I really like how he added some games in the dragon's hoard!
