I just got my first pin. and need to find a manual to trouble shoot a few things. I can't find anything but pins for sale no manuals or trouble shooting guides.

ok guys the info i found says there are 3 rom chips on the display board. i only have 2. this pic shows there may be up to 6 roms does anyone know for sure. rom 0 -5 my board has roms at 0 and 3

Hehe, and here I was thinking he had a Data East Batman since he wasn't answering the repeated requests for what pin.

I also dig the smart ass way of saying the pin name, as if it is totally unnecessary that we need to know what pin is being worked on to offer advice.

And now for the next obviously obvious question: Could you describe your problem and/or symptoms so we have at least half a clue what you are trying to do?

Well to start out i just wanted to know where to look for general info on pins. therefore no name needed. as for the bat man what should i have said holy big tits. but to get to the point before i cant trouble shoot anything i have display problems and possible missing roms and or placed in the wrong socket. any help would be great.

Like I said before, it matters. For instance, Baywatch has the infamous giant DMD with 64 pixel height. You are in a whole new ball of wax right there, because that is a rare DMD.

You can get you manual and other tidbits at www.ipdb.org.

You need to read this section of the pinrepair manual:
http://www.pinrepair.com/de/index3.htm#dots

Specifically, you want everthing to do with the 128x64 large display. Here you will find a very detailed troubleshooting guide to help you figure out what is wrong with your display. I hope you can fix it, because that display will cost you about $400 if you can even find one.

We're all here to have fun and help each other. Check the attitude at the door and you'll get tons of help.
