Holosseum to Time Traveler conversion project scrapped...

As many of you know, I recently picked up a Holosseum from Stuffmonger, with the intention of converting it to Time Traveler. Well, it ain't gonna happen... Because I just scored a Time Traveler!!!

One popped up on ebay with a BIN of $400, so I pulled the trigger. Looks like I'm driving back to SoCal.

I've been trying to track down TT parts for the conversion. Parts are scarce and pricey. This will likely cost me less money in the long run, not to mention save some of my sanity.

Once I pick it up (still need to make arrangements with the seller), I'll put Holosseum up for sale. I can't fit both games in my house.

she is a girlfriend not a wife, if you've had her around for more than a month its time for a new one anyway.

Hahahaha. No, this one's a keeper. She's actually very supportive of my hobby.

As much as I'd love to have both games, I don't have anywhere near enough room. Those Sega hologram cabs are massive.

Just glad I didn't click this to read "I gave up". Nice pickup. I had a TT years ago, wish I still did.

Nice score. I remember seeing TT years ago. The last good arcade here had one, but that place is long gone now. I would kill to know where all of that dude's games went.

I'm picking it up this evening, so it'll be another all-day, round-trip adventure to CA for me today. I'm leaving Phoenix around 11am. Should be back home around midnight.

I was just in Southern California yesterday. I saw the eBay listing on my way home- just as I was crossing the border back into AZ. If I had been in a truck, I would have just turned around.

And on a somewhat unrelated note, were any of you KLOVers at Disneyland on Saturday? I saw a guy wearing a Food Fight ringer tee over by the Matterhorn.

there's a person in Washington that's been looking for one of those Holosseum cabs.
Search Craigslist and you should find him. It wouldn't surprise me if that person was a member here.

Cool. I'll look him up for sure. Thanks.

*edit* I couldn't find anything. Do you know which WA CL he typically posts in? I'll keep my eyes peeled.

I just did some measuring, and it looks like both games will be able to fit along the wall that leads to my game room. I have just enough room to put them side-by-side.

Hmmm...

If your better half isn't fully on board with your new washer/dryer...

I'll take her off your hands for ya. ;) (Assuming you give me good KLOV Price Police rates, that is...)

Man, oh, man. Awesome hoarding score! Muahahahaha. They both work, yes?

Wait. This will make ArcRevival very happy, won't it?

My girlfriend's exact words last night: "They actually look kind of cute next to each other."

Both games work great. Holosseum could use a new joystick, but the one in there works. I'll let you know if I decide to sell it.

Marry her. Do it today. I'm serious.

BTW, I was talking about your girlfriend. I don't want either of your hologram games... :D
