Family is coming over for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Who has a list of things that need to get done in the gameroom before everyone comes over?
My list (in order of importance):
1)Fix Space Invaders sound issue - fixed. Have to replace the backlight yet, but I've already got a bulb.
2)Install 4164 RAM into Robotron - done.
3) Fix graphics glitch on Lethal Enforcers. Looks like this issue can't be fixed in time. I guess I'll pull it and put a different game in there.
4)Adjust joystick leafs on Karate Champ - done. Need to degauss the monitor yet.
5)Adjust brightness on Tempest - done.
6)Adjust joystick on Gyruss done, but now there seems to be a reset issue. Later I'll clean and reseat the chips, as a quick push on them caused it to play for a while before resetting again. Also need to install a cardboard bezel to keep the marquee light from shining on the screen.
7)Fix sound issue on Carnival - fixed, mostly. The loud "alarm clock"-like ringing went to a very tiny level, and you don't notice it at all during gameplay.
8) Fix sound issue on Q*Bert. This may not get done, and you can still play it. Just some of the sounds are goofy (like the cussing).
I have "back-ups" in the garage if something resists repair in a timely fashion.
EDIT - Apparently my Frogger is the only thing in the gameroom with no issues whatsoever.
Forgot I also need to replace the power supply in my Joust cocktail (somehow the cat got in there and pissed on it!
. Luckily I noticed before I turned it on, and have since closed up the cab and hosed down the PS and let it dry for the past week).
If I get home early tonight or tomorrow, I'll throw a quick capkit into my Popeye cocktail, since it's in the living room...
