Did anyone look at the screen shot? What the hell is that?
I seriously have to wonder what these people are smoking. Even if you knew nothing about arcade machines, that thing looks like a piece of crap. How can anyone expect to get more than $75 for that?
Well, at least I know what to do with that cabinet (multi or burn)...
But we got one local here I can't even wrap my head around... just something about it screams "What happened?!"

When I look at it... I think "I could restore that..."... then another part of my head asks "How?"... looks solid... but... ... I don't know, is it just me... something just doesn't add up... ? I can't figure out what it USED to be...
Ahhh... I see it now. The reflection on the CP and the lack of woodgrain made my head spin.
Yeah, all that gloss black paint makes that CP look like it is clear plexi in that picture. Mini art is hard to find, but I would grab that with the quickness and do the best restore I could.
Yeah, I messaged her and she's got some people coming to look at it. I told her I can come get it this afternoon with cash in hand, sight un-seen. I haven't heard back from her yet.
I guess I should just give her a call... quicker than email.
EDIT: okay, got it... OMW to pick it up right now. lol That's was quick.
I checked with her, she didn't want to sell the little Galaga, but she said that if she ever changed her mind, she has my email and phone number... so... here's hoping.
The cabinets are actually in great shape, but they put some balck vinyl all over the sides... I guess it just looks "more professional" than the old woodgrain. I think there's a LITTLE water damage at the bottom of the cabinet, but not enough to require a cover up like that. I'll leave it on for now (extra protection) but I'll get around to taking it off eventually.
I BARELY got the machine... I had to be there by 3, and I JUST got there at three. I stopped by the fish store in the next town over to kill some time before I went home... and she came in while I was there and said that the other guy called about 5 mins after I left... so I just barely made it in time. But, it's mine now... so I have to replace the plug (power cord was cut) and then check out the monitor... hopefully it'll be an easy fix because I don't have many chassis for this monitor that's in there... actuall, I only have 1 spare 13" monitor at home right now (still in the fish store)... I would really like to get her up and going by the end of the day though. Wish me luck... pretty lucky I posted when I did because I did not recognize that cabinet from the picture.
Thanks everyone.
I'll put up some pictures in a different thread when I get home.
