Hi everyone,

I was wondering if any of the resident experts are familiar with this monitor and know if a manual or schematics exist for it.

They are found in Sega Monaco GP cabs (so circa 1980) and have the Sega part number S-96592-P on a silver Sega label.

It took me a hell of a long time to find, but the chassis and neckboard both have Mitsubishi logos on them. Pretty much all the writing on the silkscreen is Japanese and the monitor is 100v

Thanks for your help.

Luke

I have 2 of these so they can't be that rare lol

I'm wondering if it was a Japanese TV that was modified into an arcade monitor, hence the lack of arcade service manual for them?

I just recently got a cocktail with a 13" (or 14...haven't measured it) that has a Hitachi tube in it. I don't think the chassis looks like yours though...was trying to find some info on it online and haven't so far. It's in a Taito style cocktail with Space Invaders artwork on the CP, but is Crazy Kong. Not sure if it was converted or not, but all the writing inside is in Japanese and everything is labeled 100V.

edit: While looking at the chassis (which is in a metal cage next to the monitor), it did have English on the stenciling, not Japanese. But all the text in the cab and some of it on the tube is in Japanese.

This one looks just like the chassis in my cocktail I mentioned in the last post, from Bob Roberts "Monitor ID" page...unfortunately, it's one of the 2 "unknown" ones :(
