Hilarious Dragons Lair Contest from the 80's

That was a blast from the past.

Are Lydia or Ted among us on the forum?

I didn't think so. They moved on and we didn't. :)

The only version I ever beat was on the SegaCD. That version appears to be the same as what I saw in that video. I remember it took forever to remember ALL the moves to get through the game.

Very cool. Isn't that older, not-so-good-looking host the same actor who would later play the President in Clear and Present Danger?

I was able to beat DL back in the day without loosing 1 life.... I havent been able to do this since, but have only played it a few times recently.

BITD DL was my game. It took awhile but when it came time to kill the dragon, I would show off and do it without looking. I'd put my jacket over the screen and kill him by the sounds. Man those were the days........

I finally finished it the other day while at a pinball party (the guy has an original DL cab). I'd done it in Daphne (laser disc emulator) a few times, but never on an original machine. Incidently, somewhere my brother has an old audio tape from that broadcast of "That's Incredible" when it originally aired (before the days when everyone had VCR's ;) )

Seeing John Davidson or whatever his name was being able to complete the ball/marble screen makes me think he had to have had played the game before not to mention how excited he was when the girl finished the game.

Yeah, the hug and kiss of that girl at the end was kind of stomach turning. Jeez it wasn't that exciting you frickin sex pervert. Times have changed yes....

Hmmmm, so let me get this straight. Move to the right you live, move to the left and you die. I am glad they used that diagram to explain this, because I just didn't understand lol.
