So i was playing and my first ball goes into the tunnel...The 'award' is a multiball. Ok.

Starts out as a normal multiball then it just seems to keep going and going. I drain the 'original' 3 balls at least 2 times and they keep kicking back into play. I get, literally, 3 'extra balls' and a couple of super jackpots.

I am, at best, an average player. My first ball (which I played for probably 5+ minutes) I got over 300 million points. Thinking there was somethign wrong, I actually shut off the machine during my 3rd ball.

Anyone have this pin and have it seemingly go crazy like that? I'd say it was just a 'really good game' but I drained the balls a bunch and they kept shooting back into play...

>????

ok, played again today...Ugh, another multiball from the tunnel/burn rubber award

Again, the 'free ride' light remained lit for like, 5 minutes. I could drain every ball over and over and over and it would keep feeding them back. Does anyone know how the mutliball 'time' works? Is it a timed event, over after you drain x number of balls etc? Thanks

Free Ride There isn't really a playfield feature for this, except the large flashing light at the center drain. If it's lit or has just gone out, you should get the ball back, autolaunched from the plunger lane. The length of time this is lit varies widely according to machine configuration. Balls which are launched after making a Lock are NOT subject to Free Ride! (Except for a bug on some machines...) "
Go into diag and verify the switch works. If it doesn't check for broken diode.
If it does - Check FREE RIDE configuration.

There's a bug with one of the roms. I believe it's L-5? It can cause a freeride of like 101 seconds. Check which rom you have and do some searching, I'm super busy or I would try to find it.

Keith Johnson had a nice break down of the L2 VS L5 debate of whihc was better.

L-2: Everything seems to work pretty well, except secret mania. If
you start secret mania (which arguably you shouldn't be doing anyway),
then your game will be pretty hosed in terms of lock progress.

L-5: Secret mania seems to not have any bad interactions, but the
locks are completely and totally wrong. Basically what happens is
every 3rd ball that shows up in the lockup will start multiball (for a
given player). When this happens in the middle of a multiball, you go
back to shooting for Jackpot, but you do get a ballsaver. This is
fine for your first multiball, but then it leads to the following type
scenarios:

A. Start multiball. Get jackpot, super jackpot, super jackpot.
Multiball restarts.

B. Lock 2 balls for multiball. Start Red Line Mania. Get Jackpot.
Multiball restarts. Shoot for 20 loops to light jackpot. (This one
probably sucks the most.)

C. Start multiball. Get jackpot, super jackpot. Light lock, then
shoot the ramp to lock ball. Multiball starts.

It's pretty whacky. There are many more permutations of the above,
but hopefully you get the idea.

Some people think the restarting of multiball is a good thing, and in
a way it is I guess. But having to light and score a 25M jackpot
instead of a 150M super isn't so cool.
