Hands down best service I have gotten (maybe even non-arcade related).

I ordered an ArPiCade about 3 weeks ago. Almost immediately after I ordered it, I got a call from Joe asking if I would be willing to wait a couple days extra so that I could get the latest software update. They could have totally just shipped it with the current software but they made it a point to make sure I got the new update since it was so close.

Cut to a couple weeks later and I send a email regarding the kick harness. Long story short I mistakenly threw the connector and pins away in the box. Upon realizing this even before our email communication was finished, I received an email notification that a new one was shipped, free of charge.

Can't say enough good things about Joe and his company. They take care of their customers and go the extra mile.

+1 to this. dealt with HSS several times, only ever had excellent dealings.

one time (and only once), had a goof on HSS's end in regards to an incorrect part I received. I called Joe, he immediately apologized, made no excuses, had a replacement part literally out the same day (was very late in the day on the East coast already) ... in less than 48 hours correct part had shown up and a label to return the errant part

it's not about if you screw up or not - it's what you do when you screw up to make things right that counts

mad props to Joe and the HSS crew!

Ive ordered a couple times from joe, did some testing for him as well..

All ways outstanding service and always available to talk on the phone reasonably of course...

My recent purchase from HSS, I bought one of those RPiecades- i call it jammapi!

I ordered Friday night, it was in my mail box Monday after work..

Freakin lightning fast.. it must have been jet pack delivered.

HSS promises cake, but I never got any cake. :( Not even half a sandwich ...

I only say so because I always hope to get a moon pie or whatever the heck they are sending each year, and never do. They have a way of making us feel like the ugly duckling..... :(
 
The best thing about HSS is that he is reliably stocking all this great stuff in most cases. But customer service is exceptional, probably the only outfit in this hobby on par with Phoenix Arcade.

Bonus points for not having to stroke the ego of some socially inept elitist intellectual.

Learned a long time ago, mistakes happen, it's how they are fixed when they do...

We like to treat customers the way we like to be treated. It's a whole different animal online than in person!

What does a customer expect?

1. They're notified thay their order has been placed.
2. They have a confidence in the shop they are buying from that the product is on the shelf and will be shipped in a timely manner. (We love freaky fast shipping)
3. They're provided a tracking number quickly so they can see it arrive. We go a step further and give them a visual map of the stops along the way and even email them when it's been delivered.
4. The package is well packed and can survive a drop kick from the delivery man. ;)
5. The product works as described when received.
6. Any issues, a quick email or phone call can fix without jumping through hoops.

There is a lot more to what a customer expects, but the above is the bare minimum. If a seller can consistently do the above, it's a win win for everyone!

Phoenix Arcade has spent a LOT of time with me personally on the phone. Their standards are what help make HSS what it is today! Darin rocks, you know it, I know it. Guess this post turned into a PA promo! I love it...

Again, thanks for the props. Makes it worthwhile working some long hours developing new products, packaging, testing, shipping and making the customer experience better with every order we get. It does mean a lot to hear these compliments, but, we don't need to have an ego stroked to send you a product. You guys do that with every order you place....and we thank you for that by providing what we think (and seems that you all do too) is exceptional service. :)
 
Forgot to add, if you purchased any product, you can leave a proper review from the product page. It really does help future customers make a decision based on them.
 
I've actually helped Joe with the drop kick test. We go to the local high school and boot them through the field goal posts. Record is 52 yards made.

I have ordered twice from HSS, always great communication, fast shipping and good products!
