The flipper on the left side seems to get hung up when you use it therefore resulting in a weak hit. I lifted up the PF and grabbed the flipper and pulled it back and forth and it's hung up some what, so I replaced coil sleeve and went to tighten down the allen bolts and now the flipper has alot of hang up, seems like the plunger link that goes through the coil/coil sleeve theres some hang-up. I treid putting new coil stops in and well it seems there the wrong ones although there the right part number the stop is smaller then the one thats on there. The only time it goes smooth is when the allen bolts are extremly loose, also there alot of play in the coil itself you can grab and move it side side with significant amount of travel. The othe flipper is nice and smooth. I'am new tothis so all help is appreciated. Thanks! Jeff

One more thing I played a few games just trying diferent thing to see if it may work, but when I was done I pulled up the PF and felt the coils and the left one was extremly hot and the right was really cool to the touch. All EOS switches seem to be 1/8th inch and cleaned, so I dont know. Please help. Thanks.

Replace the plastic bushing that goes through the playfield AND replace the flipper pawl/plunger/link assembly.

Thanks Ken. Last night the flipper fluttered and got stuck in the up position and would not go back down, I turn the machine off and the flipper drop down. What is this? I ordered a complete rebuild kit for both flippers is this gonna solve the problem? Do I need something else? The kit dont come with coils, I purchased kit from Pinball Life. Terry has been great in the past with customer service. Why did the flipper get stuck up for and then drop when I turned the machine off? Thanks. Jeff

Normally that means it's NOT a mechanical problem if it drops when you shut the machine off.
it is now staying stuck even after you turn the machine off. While playing when it does get stuck in the upright position if you push the left flipper button it gets unstuck (maybe from the vibration). It has to be mechanical as the plunger is dragging inside the coil sleeve(sleeve is NEW). I believe the coil plunger and coil stop is magnetized as when I inspected it has little furry things standing on end just like a magnet does. Any ideas? Flipper rebuild kit is on the way as well.

Theres no smooth flip, you can here it binding on something as it enters the coil (plunger), but like I said theres alot of slop in mechanism of flipper link assembly(bad bushing, maybe) I'am new please help. it may be getting stuck on the playfield. you can loosen the screws under it and pull it up a little. i had this problem on my sharp shooter..

WOW it's like a new machine.

Well my rebuild kit came in the mail yesterday (Saturday) and installed it (except for the EOS switches as they are only 2 months old) and cleaned the playfield and put 3 coats of Meguires Caranuba wax and WOW it is playing like a new machine, like High-Speed is suppose to be FAST action, hit those freeways and that ball is a blurr. I worry about those plastic targets, etc. as the flippers are hitting the ball hard! Thanks to all for the help and thankfully it wasn't an electrical issue as someone did mention, this was an inexpensive fix and and easy install, I'am feeling good today! My HSII also gets going REALLY fast. Once you make a couple or a few loops in a row. Something is bound to break someday haha. Love the game though. It's a 'man's game' is what Steve Ritchie told me :p
