"High Score" on tonight

Wished I had that channel just to see that!

I'm sure it will probably suck, especially since I'm not really into the whole high score thing. I'm still gonna check it out though.

I thought it was worth watching... I watched it on Hulu on one screen at work, while working on the other screen.

Just got done watching it. I thought it was decent. The guy's roller skating at the end was dope.

Now there's a documentary on about competitive scrabble players. I'm beginning to wish I didn't get this channel.

It's also on again tonight at 11pm Eastern, May 8th at 8pm and 11pm (both Eastern) and May 19th at 8pm and 11pm (both Eastern). I saw it a couple years ago, and thought it was pretty good.

Just got off the phone with Bill. He said the documentary was changed a little bit. The ending with him on roller skates was supposed to be using the song "Bust a Move", but the rights were limited to the original version only and had to be replaced with something else.

Same with the original version of Chasing Ghosts, it had a great sound track, then was compromised by the time it hit Showtime or whatever was aired. Music royalties are a huge expense. We can't even play 80's music at the show without a licensed DJ or whatever.

Just saw it on Hulu tonight. I wasn't even aware of this documentary's existance so thanks for sharing! I thought it was very enjoyable and definitely worth watching if you like King of Kong or Chasing Ghosts. I felt bad for the guy having shitty luck with the machine.

He is fighting old scores done by a player and a helper. Old rules allowed a new quarter to be inserted if the game resets and the scores were added together. Bill Carlton is already likely the world's best Missile Command player ever. He has to play by a different rule set. His goal is to conquer despite the handicaps. He has 6th place, but has not turned it in. Because our show hours will not allow a marathon, he will be going for Tournament settings at the Seattle show and is going to take a stab at Galaga in his spare time. Tenacious B, you rock.

A little birdie tells me Bill will be going for the Missile Command marathon record again over Memorial Day weekend, with a better method to track his city count. Stay tuned...

Oh, and for those of you who are bagging on "High Score," screw you. :p If you met Bill, you'd really like him. And the ending of the movie is way better with "Bust a Move." :D

I really liked this one... Dude has a deadpan sense of humor that I appreciate. I felt upbeat after watching it. Chasing Ghosts bummed me out.

bill may be the greatest guy ever, but the movie is a boring piece of shit only worth watching if you enjoy seeing a missile command reset itself over and over. its not a documentary on a classic game, its a video of one stubborn guy and his machine continually resetting. also, the ending is one of the gayest things ever.

Oh i could tell that Bill was a likeable guy and would enjoy his company but the direction of the movie was bad. Liked the video game theme obviously but it did get quite boring. Wish they wouldve mentioned other things that Bill was good at or just other things in general.

Oh well still glad i watched it and got to know Bill via the movie. I was shocked about his age as i was estimating late 20's-early 30's

I like arcade games obviously but chasing ghosts was boring and I've passed on this because it looks worse than chasing ghosts.

Did the other one about donkey kong ever come out?
