I haven't seen much posted on the subject and was wondering what everyone uses for their three-digit high score entry initials and if there was any specific reason or interesting stories behind why.

I assume most people just use their actual name initials, but there must be many that don't too. For example, Billy Mitchell uses USA because he's so patriotic. I'm sure there's also some of you that used vulgar and/or what you thought were "funny" initials at the time when you first started playing way back in the 80s? Perhaps a combination of initials that would spell out something specific when you got the top 2 or 3 scores? Have you always used the same initials from day one? do you still use it? or have you changed/modified it over time? perhaps you came across someone else using the same initials? or perhaps you just got bored with it?

Mine is: DAY
Reason: Pretty straightforward reason, but D is the initial of my first name and Y is the initial of my last name. My parents chose not to give me a middle name. So, since the letter A usually comes up as the default, I decided to use it and have my high score initials spell a real word. I've thought about using a blank space for my middle initial, but old habits die hard.

Post your high score entry initials, reason(s) why and story if you got one.

Mine has always been SEX, because I never get any (that doesn't cost me money or a large portion of my dignity).

If I do well I put in my initials. If I don't do so well I put in EGG. I don't know why.

RKY

Not my initials... I used that so mom wouldn't see my initials on the games at the local store. She didn't like me spending all my money on those "damn games"

I have a friend, Andrew Scott Steinovich... he always used ASS of course... but got pissed when different games started censoring his initials.

ACE-When you have to start back at the beginning of the alphabet after entering each initial. Just fast to do.
RST-(My actual initials) When it doesn't start back at the beginning or when you have full motion on the grid of letters.
When you are able to put in a name-I usually use character names from the UK TV show Red Dwarf-Lister, Rimmer(ACE), Kryten, Queeg....

I used to use ECW, my initials. Then I started using a nickname I picked up in baseball...WARLORD. I think Mat Mania was where I started that. Since then my 3 letter name has been WAR. I still use CW for 2 letter scores like Satan's Hollow.

I used to use my initials, but they spell a word that I am not associated with. I now use VJ. :D

KLR or KEV -- mostly now only KLR (goes with the nickname).

I seem to remember one of those used on a particular Star Wars I traded... wonder if it is still there ;)

Hahahahaha, like I am gonna knock them off or something. I am the worst video game player EVAR.

Z-U-D

Got the nickname in grade school. There was a movie out at the time (Dont remember what it was) that had a character called Chud. There were only 4 boys in my grade level and one took that as his nickname. Another guy took Bud. Not sure what the 3rd guy took, but I liked the letter Z so I took Zud. Have been using it ever since. Wow, over a quarter century now! Time flies I guess.

One day when shopping my wife was looking for something to clean the sink with and we saw a product like Comet called Zud. Of course I made her buy it. :D It worked well too.
