Hi,
I'm here to learn and restore an old cabinet that I got from my father. I believe it was made in the 80s from a Midway Clowns cabinet, and it includes two games: Super Tank and Pleiads (not confirmed yet, though). It has been sitting in a garage for at least 36 years (it worked when placed there).

I don't know much yet, so I'm trying to learn both what to do and what not to do with it, as well as the terminology. I love tinkering with almost everything, especially electronics, but this is new territory for me.

I'm looking forward to being part of the community!

Ps. Any recommendations on threads I should start reading to help with my project? Feel free to point me in the right direction :).

Welcome to KLOV!

Based on your comments about it working when placed in the garage, I'm assuming it no longer works. Typically we start with power. If you don't already have one, get a multimeter and check the power.

If it does power on, does the monitor come on? Can you hear any thing? These are basic questions when troubleshooting and not specific to your cabinet.

You can typically search for symptoms you are experiencing with your cabinet and find answers.

If you don't, ask away in the technical sections.

Hope you get it working!

It does not power on unfortunately. Thank you for giving me a starting point and for the welcome.
I'll dive in to the technical sections and start reading a bit. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping the monitor will work when it get power.
