Ok... Gots this Ms. Pac Man with the famous hum bar I guess it's called.

I just replaced the fuse holder (but not the fuses).

I ordered a harness off ebay but am reluctant to start cutting wires just yet.

I wanted to post a quick video to confirm with you guys that this is the hum bar.

I don't really remember but I thought there was a loud buzz before but now I don't hear it.

Thanks for the help!

Oh yea... The reason I am looking for guidance is because I have read that it could be anything from power supply to the harness so hoping someone could give some advice from experience. Thanks

Also... Now that I am looking more in depth at this machine I noticed the power plug doesn't have the 3rd prong (ground). I assume this cord isn't OG? Should I swap the cord out with one that has a ground prong?

obviously. hum bar is typically caused by bad fuse holders on the 120V side on the left. should be 2 fuse holders on that side. I encourage also replacing the 7/14V fuse holders on the right, those are 2 each for the voltage lines totaling out to 4. I believe arcadepartsandrepair.com carries everything you need.

when soldering the old wires to the new fuse holders you may need to sand the exposed wire to bare copper. I think KenLayton suggested dipping the wire ends in rubbing alcohol to clean them up too...? (may need to search for that lifehack)

lastly I think hum bar can be caused by the edge connector (the harness that plugs into the board). and the edge itself can be a little toasted from operation with poor fuse holders for a prolonged period. I typically heat the fingers to where they can lift off and just cut them off with snips and make new ones with tinned copper tape. that's the way to really solidify Pac-Man.

yes we stock everything the OP may need and even the original pins if you only want to replace some of them but we have new original edge connectors too if needed.
