Hey guys how much would a Michael Jackson Moonwalker Arcade be worth?

hey guys! KLOV allways have the correct answer i strive for!

well someone i know is selling a Michael Jackson Moonwalker Arcade Machine

he wants $450 for it but i could probally talk him down to $400

here is his ad:
This is a really nice Michael Jackson Moonwalker arcade game. It looks and works great! it is a one or two player game, with nice sound clips from his songs, and partly designed by him as well! comes with an original cardbooard monitor bezel (not shown) and an original manual. lots of fun for all ages, with many levels of play. please ask any questions you may have!

What i wanted to know is it worth the $400 for it? or is that way to much or is it worth more? its just i ahve never seen one for sale and iv never seen one on ebay. so im not shure if this is rare or what....

Thanks Guys!

Too much for me but I don't really want one. That is also a conversion (as I am sure you know). If you want it and are happy with $400.00 then go for it.

Here is a listing for MJMW hardware and CP - no cabinet - $1495.00. Makes what you are looking at look like a bargain. :)

FACT: it's not the 3-player dedicated.

FACT: it has a loud, generic overlay.

FACT: it's in a 19" robotron cabinet.

OPINION: that's a $100 machine.

Agree 100% with yaggy.
However if it's a game you really like and want, it seems too hard to track one down for less.

games

Perhaps $150... It isn't an original so I wouldn't pay the price. If it's a grail game for you wait and get the original cab.

ok cool perfect you guys allways know the right answers, its not a grail for me, but i allways did love paying this game, its relly fun, and the music is pretty cool to, for being m jackson..

so now do u guys think the reason for it being a 2player is because there wasnt enuf space to add in the extra 3rd controller in this converted cab, how much do u guys think the pcb in this would be worth? because from what iv seen the parts are rare to find

Here is a PCB only listed at $471.90.

I don't see the complete machines (dedicated more rare/conversions) or PCBs come up too often.

On ebay a couple of PCBs that sold:

$150.00

$171.26 - included marquee

Not working board:

$34.99.

Another was listed at $43.99 but did not sell.

To answer your question on the 3-player - 'Yes'. Too crowded for a third set of controls on the conversion cabinet CP.

yah i just noticed it, but i relly dont wanna spen that much if i dont have to... i like to find one for $100 i would pay that for a working one

Prices are that high right now because people are still surfing the end of the "omg jakko is dead, anything related to him is now worth a billion dollars" wave. In another 6-12 months things will be back to their (low) regular prices for this game. If it's a grail for you, wait until a dedicated one comes up at a reasonable price. As it is I don't know if I'd even pay $100 for that cab but I have no interest in the game.

I would actually get the moon walker game if it was:

-a conversion of one

-free :)

-He loaded the game into truck :)

-I was payed money for gas :D

haha, kidding but that would be nice. I'd pay $30 for a working one if you ask me.

Even before the Jackson death hype, I was a fan of the game. Laugh at me if you want, but I thought it was pretty sweet. Sure the gameplay was meh, but the background music was badass! I would have paid and still would pay up to $250 for a decent, non-dedicated Moonwalker.

Basically, to each his own. I am drawn to the Moonwalker game as other guys are drawn to the Journey game. Although Journey had the better exterior arts, both games are forgetful. The musical ambience is what gives the coolness factor.

To be honest I have never played the game.. I saw a video on youtube of it and it looks a bit entertaining but its not my kind of game.

But I could understand why you like it.

Yup yup. Any fan of classic 80's should be a fan of this game just to hear midi MJ music playing.
