I bought a Donkey Kong Jr board set for a good deal on eBay a few months ago. It was untested so it was a gamble and clearly missing chips plus some kind of weird high score kit board on it. Just plugged it in tonight and it is a perfect working Hero in the Castle of Doom. Of course I had no idea what that was until now but what a fun surprise. Just thought I would share. :)

That is an easy ROM swap back to DK Jr, but I would keep it as is. DK Jr boards are easy enough to find that it warrants keeping this as Hero.

I think I will keep it the way it is. Now I will have to keep an eye out for the cpo and marquee. I can see why it wasn't very popular, the game play isn't great compared to Donkey Kong Jr.

I think I might have a piece or two for this game in my storage unit. I will try to get a look later today.
