Hello,

I am working on a Gunfight Game.

Monitor - XM702-10
Chassis - 23VP111

Video Amplifier Schematic

Game playing blind.

I replaced C1/C2/C4/C6 and game started working fine. I was then making adjustments and lost my video again.
Well, really it is still there but I have to turn the brightness up and I can see the game operating but the input on screen is a dark shadow and can only be seen with brightness up past the black.

I have since changed Q1/Q2/Q3/Q4 with no change.

In short, it is a black & white monitor and the game is showing up black on black background instead of white on black background. That is why I have to turn the brightness up to see game working on screen.

Any help on this problem would be appreciated.

Gary

Game worked just fine after installing Bob Roberts cap kit.

But has since reverted to this new problem

Game still boots & plays but video is black not white.

can someone suggest what will cause this with a black & white monitor.

Is it in the amplifying circuit 1st video amp or 2nd video amp

transistor, capacitor, video bias pot?????????

B+ voltages of 30v & 73v are correct.

or could it be the video signal coming in from game board.

I need tho narrow this down and concentrate on what exactly can cause my problem.

Surely someone here can help me point in the right direction.

video signal is there but is not transferred to monitor as a white image,
