So I bought an Ultracade a while back, but I am now planning to sell it. But just recently the player one and player two buttons stopped working. All of the other buttons will work, and the credits will register, but the player buttons are nonresponsive. This is real deal breaker to everyone I try to sell it to, so I would like to get it fixed so I can get rid of it. Does anyone have any solutions?

Also, would replacing the hard drive do any good? I can get a hard drive with more games, in hopes of remedying the problem

One of the Buffer chips on your I/O board may have croaked. This was a fairly common issue with the USBLinx boards. You can try to replace the chip on the board, if it is indeed a failed one.

OR

Good news is you can use any Programmable Keyboard encoder to work as your controls, but you will need to use the USBLinx as a video driver and audio board.

Hey, I wanted to say thanks for the info. I plugged a keyboard straight to the computer and it worked then. Now at least I know where the problem is coming from.
