I recently bought The TMNT Turtles in Time Arcade game, its my first arcade game. When I got it Donatello's controls weren't working but I fixed them and now everything runs perfectly. There is one thing that bugs me though, the game is set to give 3 lives for a quarter but it gives 21. Whatever I set it to is multiplied by 7. Anyone know how I could fix that?

Also, I paid $300 ($340 if you count the gas it took to pick it up) for it, was that a good price? I thought it was a deal but I'm new to arcades so I have no idea. Its in pretty good condition, some of the wood is a little damaged and the side art could be replaced.

Check the 'Coin Options" in the menu. It should be set for 1 coin 1 credit, which would give you a game with 3 lives. But it might be set to 1 coin 7 credits, which would give 7x the number of lives. As TiT is a continue game, it just gives you all of them at once.

Changing the "Premium Start" to 'No' might fix it, too.

At least, that the only thing I can think of.

Here's the operator's manual if you need it:

modessitt hit the nail on the head...

go into test mode and change the premium settings to off and how many lives per coin. this should fix your problem.

and yes what you paid is a very good price. the board alone goes for 150+ on ebay

hope this helps

any pics to go with it??

Alright I was wrong, it was multiplying everything by 3 not by 7. I guess 1 credit = 3 lives and I changed the settings so you get 3 lives with a quarter. I should have double checked...

Anyway here are a couple more pictures since you asked :D

Great game and a great price in my opinion. When I had a Simpsons cab it was the same way, its all in the settings. I never bothered to change mine though since I hated manually adding enough credits to play all the way through that game.
