Hello,
I recently picked up a tempest machine from a friend and it was constantly blowing fuses on the monitor. I have since done a cap and transistor kit repair and that problem is gone now, however the Spot Killer is on.
I looked at the game board X and Y outputs and they are not moving at all. I put the game into test mode and after a few seconds I am now getting a Tone out of the cabinet. (player 1 and player 2 butts are flashing).
I was reading an online help article about this and it mentioned that there might be a problem with the N/P3 ROM, so I pulled the rom and dumped the code, but I don't have anything to compare it against.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I am not sure what to do from here. The main PCB is unhacked and this game did work for him a few years ago and it's been sitting ever since.
Thanks,
Scott
