Help with Pole Position

Is this documented here somewhere, that mod mean?

Do you need both AR2 if you're only going to use them to amplify sound? I ask because I've just picked one up that's mostly empty, I'm wondering if Ic ouldn't forgo the ARII completely, use switchers for +5V and some type of AMP for sound. Thoughts? I've only started looking at the manuals this morning.

Its not really documented but I'm sure if you search you can find threads indicating how to do it.

In an upright you would only need one ARII for the amplification.

Do you have the transformer assy? Its not really "needed" either but it would make powering the cabinet up easier.

If you dont have ARII's you can for sure use a single switcher to power both boards. Get a small 12 volt car audio amp (like 15-30 watts small) and power it off of the +12 from your switcher. You would need to then wire the audio in and audio out to and from the amp but thats pretty easy.

For the sake of not hacking the crap out of the harness I'd build adapters that would plug into the harness so that if you decided to go back to ARII's down the road you could.

Really appreciate this. I'm not against upgrades in the power domain. PLUS, I read scary things about sense circuits gone wild ruining things.

I don't have a harness yet, either. So, I'm safe from hacking!
