Ok i bought this machine and when i got it home it quit working. Had a friend come over and pluged and unpluged stuff and it started working. It sat in the garage for months and worked every time i turned it on. Then i moved it to the basement and it quit working. Now it's now doing much... i know it has something to do with the big board on the left.
Who can repair this at a reasonable price. I am into this for pretty good money because it was working. LOL
Any help would be great.
John

Have you checked the fuses in the bottom of the cab? Test them for continuity with a meter, NOT if they "look" good......

Sound like you have oxidation on the finger of your mother board.
UNPLUG THE GAME
Remove the edge connector on the board.

Get a Pink rubber erase and rub it on the fingers On the board.
Plug the board back in.

It should work after that.

I have replaced the power supply with a after market one.

The connector has been cleaned and had a strip of something put on it. That was what was wrong with it first time. Common issue from what i hear.

The screen comes up with garage now.

I am thinking about just replacing that stupid board.

no i don't... it comes up free play... than tries to play and if you move the joy stick it just makes a annoying noise.

Inside the coin door there is a switch under the coin meter, next to the button that puts service credits on the machine, flip it to the "ON" position after the game is on........

Killer!!!! That stupid switch was on... turned if off and it works!!! Now the marquee lights on top quit working. LOL But i bet i can fix that.

It would come up free play... and them it would start to play then would quit and do all kinds of stupid stuff. Switch must have moved to on when moving.
I bet i had a wire come loose on the marquee on top or starter quit.

SEE!!! And you learned something about your game in the process! Welcome to KLOV! :)

Thanks!!! You have an easy fix for making the light on top start working? : )

Na, could be the bulb, the starter or the ballast. If it were me, I'd take the marquee off and make sure the bulb hasn't come loose. Then test with a meter to see if it is getting voltage...

I bet the bulb did come loose. Did i say moving these suck!!! LOL
Thanks again!
