So my Cyclone has an intermittent reset problem. I have replaced the Bridge Rectifier, Voltage Regulator, the large main cap on the power board, and the 2 smaller caps on the power board. Each time, I thought I'd fixed the problem, but then would eventually get some resets.

What else could cause this? I've checked the voltage at the outlet and its fine. I've looked for broken diodes and haven't found any.

Other suggestions on what could be causing this? Thank you!

even though the doided arnt broken that dosnt prove that there not bad.test them with a muti meter or i would see if hitting both flipper cause a reset.if so then replace the doides on the flipper coils.there less than 50 cents each a radio shack

Thanks for the reply.

OK, I'll go ahead and replace some of the diodes. Some of the flipper ones have been soldered and resoldered, so it certainly can't hurt.

No, it doesn't happen when both flippers are fired. I try to get it to reset when I test it, and usually can't make it reset. I'll think its fixed, but then in the middle of the next game it will randomly reset again.

What about the big grey cap in the lower right of the backbox? Can it cause resets if it goes bad? Do they go bad?

of coarse any cap can go bad.i dont think thats your problem.i no expert thats for sure. the only problems i have seen with games i fixed was there 2 things that i have found.1 the power supply is weak ,so i replaced it or,2 a coil has a bad doide and is leting a back spike to the cpu there for making it reset.start the game up and try striking differnt coils again and again, maybe you find one that way.good luck.
