Hi
Hope somebody can help.
I have a Zenith G-A63ADG25X (04RCO105-005) monitor inside a Dragons Lair 2 (Brent Leisure) laser game.
The monitor was dead when I tried to boot the game. Have looked in the back and spotted that the 2A slow blow fuse had blown. Replaced it with another and that blew as soon as I powered it up, tried one more and the same thing happened.
Has anybody got any ideas what is causing the fuse on the monitor board to keep blowing and what i should do next.

Thanks

Paul

The number you posted is the actual picture tube number. There should be another sticker with the make/model of the actual monitor on there somewhere, perhaps on the chassis (circuit board).

If you can't find it, post pics of the circuit board and/or monitor as a whole and we'll identify it.

Hi Guys
Sorry, though I had make and model covered. This is the only photo I have right now. The game is about 30mins drive away so I can get more tomorrow.
Please let me know if you need more info.
Thanks
Paul

You have a 25" K7000-type. I can't tell from the pic but it may be the Zenith K7000-A, rather than the regular Wells-Gardner K7000. Both can be fixed, but the Zenith style does not have a current flyback replacement if that is your issue. If you're not sure which you have, you can pull it and look at the bottom to check the pins of the flyback. If they are in a C shape, then you have the K7000A. If they are in a U shape, then you have a K7000.

Either way, it can be fixed (provided the flyback is ok for the Zenith), and both need an isolation transformer to run properly. You should start by checking the voltage regulator (VR) and the horizontal output transistor (HOT)...

Why does it keep blowing the 2A fuse on the monitor board. It holds for like a second and then blows.

Do I need to discharge the tube by grounding the anode via a screw driver and clips to the frame before I touch anything?

Thanks

Ohh and were do I find the Voltage Regulator and the HOT? And what is a flyback?

Im up for trying anything if I get a better picture of the board can somebody tell me what to do and were?

Thanks
