Hi all,

I need some advise on what's going on with my K4600.

Its in a Time Pilot cabinet and its coming up with the same picture 4 times.
So the screen is split into 4 and displaying the same thing in all 4 sections.
I've attached a picture to show what I'm talking about.
That's the best picture I can get.

Looks like a sync problem. Try mucking with he vsync and hsync pots.

Hi Ian,

when I first plugged the machine in I was getting a fuzzy screen / out of sync.
Playing with both vertical & horizontal pots got me the screen I pictured above.
Could bad caps be causing this ?

what pcb do you have hooked up to this?? one of the previous post said VGA and if its a 60 in 1 board you may have a dip switch set to VGA instead of CGA. if your monitor has never been capped then its always good to do that but i don't think thats your problem with the quad screen. if you need cap kits i have them in stock all 100% nichicon 105c top quality kits.

Its in a centuri cab with an original Time Pilot PCB.

It does look like some of the caps have already been replaced at some point.

Here's some pics of the chassis & its actually a k4655:

Well I just plugged in my Frogger PCB as its the same pinout as Time Pilot and Frogger displayed as it should, so I'm now confident to say its the Time Pilot PCB, the same as the Pac-Man in the link in the above thread.

So all good now with the screen, but now a problem with the board LOL

Any ideas ?
I haven't pulled any of the chips and cleaned / reseated them yet.

I still think it's a sync issue. You can try jumping pin 3 to pin 2 or just sync to pin 2. I think my sky's hark had 2 and 3 jumppered and my multi board will only sync with pin 2. 4625 monitor

I have a 4600 kicking my butt on sync as well.
