Help spaceshuttle pinball doens't recognize coin drop

I am very new to pinballs. A friend asked me to check his. All lights are on, however, coin mechanisms not working.

Before I tinker too far, is there any advise for a newbie.

Fuses or something easy to see?

(PS both mechanisms aren't registering).

Most likely it is the thin wires used to actuate the switches that are bent so much that they will not register. You can look at then below the coin mechs and see if you can bend then back, or, the preferred option would be to go into the adjustments menu and set the game to freeplay so that you do not need coins.

If you can confirm the switches themselves are OK, then check the tilts in switch test mode. The tilts, coin switches and start button are all on the same column. If they are all having problems, it may be a problem on the MPU.

Mine had this exact same problem and it ended up being a transistor on the MPU.

Almost sounds like you know what you're doing. Maybe you can swing by and work on my pins sometime?!?!?!?
