i have a deducated silent scope 2. the sight is acting goofy. it will be right on, then it will jump left or right and come back to being right on target.
im sure its the trimpot that goes left and right.
1) how in the heck do u remove the gun?
2) who sells the EXACT trimpots for these?
thx in advance

I have a SS1 and I am having gun issues as well. Mine are not just replacing the pots.

But for your issue it is pretty easy.
You remove all of the screws on bottom portion of the gun where it meets the game, the screws on the circular plate that is at the base of the gun, and the top shroud that is where the gun sits.

In the manual they show a door that exists that you can open to get to the pots (mine did not have this door) So I had to remove all of the above.

Once you can see the Pots - you should be able to see that they are mounted on support structures that can be unscrewed.

You may benefit from just using some contact cleaner on the Pot and it may not need to be replaced.

i removed all of those screws and i cant get to the pots. the pots sit down to the right and they are far down and mount from the side and just cant be gotten to unless everything is removed..
the long purple plastic bezel piece and the circle shroud you speak of can be unscrewed, but they cant be removed unless the entire gun is removed somehow. too many connectors inside the gun housing and inside where the pots r. i pulled up on the gun and saw a connector inside of it from the bottom i couldnt even disconnect...cant reach it. needs be disconnected before you pull up gun.
mine is dedicated, there is no secret door either that i can see.
i dunno but i cant figure it out.
ughhh!

The gun removal was pretty much the easy part on mine....

See if this helps.

I removed the gun on mine to test everything and it took about 5 minutes to get it and all of that other stuff out of the way.

that is super, ill try it like that.
ill let you know how it works out.
i appreciate this greatly
thx

When you get the gun off and you can see the I/O board at the front of the gun mount - check the cables that are coming off of the I/O.

Since these can move so much sometimes those cables can have a split or fray where they mount into the I/O.

thank you moloch
finally got around to this and removed gun and other parts there.
much easier to work on the trimpots when you also remove the 4 bolts that bolt the entire unit down (after gun removal).
thx:)
