help rewiring a gottlieb(qbert style) power board to a switcher

My guess is someone has done this and I am wondering if this is
an easy task, or very complex before I consider doing it.

I guess I could elaborate a bit. I have a gottlieb reactor cab that was turned into
a yie ar kung fu. The cab has a lot of the original wiring and obviously the original
power supply board that is blowing fuses causing the sound not to work. Riptor told me
it is the exact same power board as the qbert.

Does Reactor use a 30VDC line like Qbert? I didn't think it did, but now I'm not for sure. I'll have to check the schematics.

I didn't think so. Certainly, yie ar kung fu doesn't.

guess I can pull the schematic and figure out where to wire what to a switcher.

suppose it can't be all that hard.

Are you trying to stick a Reactor back in the cabinet? Or a Qbert?....or something else?

I don't think Qbert and Reactor use the same power supply. I know Qbert needs 30VDC....and I agree with you, I don't think Reactor uses a 30VDC line.

when I took a picture of hte power board and showed it to Riptor (resident qbert expert)
he said it was the exact same board as comes in qbert.

I am trying to get the proper voltages to the proper places. And there is a problem with the power board currently in there. It keeps blowing fuses at power up and I believe that this is the cause of me having no sound on the game.
I was going to wire in a switcher, since it's a konami game, doesn't need any exotic or oddball voltages.
