I am wondering if there is a trick to removing the buttonsunder the CP. I thought the little washers would screw off letting the button slide through, but it looks like they snap in tight. Just wondering if there is an easy way to get these off without destroying them.

Unscrew the hex nut holding the green button into place. The button pulls right out, and the switch assembly is only held on with that nut too. The button itself comes apart by removing the little clip at the bottom, it just snaps on from the side.

Thats what I thought too, but the green button is not threaded, the hex nut pushes straight over the button and locks into the grooves. But let me go double check.

No, it's screwed on. Trust me on this one. Try taking off a different button, maybe you have one that's really jammed.

The plastic button itself is two pieces (well, three if you count the spring), and usually stays together unless you have to take it apart to clean it. The whole button (all the green plastic) is dropped through the control panel, switch assembly slid onto the back, and attached with the panel with the hex nut. It's screwed on, and the plastic button is threaded.
