I was thinking today , trying to remember a game I used to play BITD at the local YMCA. Cant remember what the name was, so was looking for some help , figuring some one else would remember it.
I thought the name had "Genie" in the name, but looking thru the library and didnt see anything the looked like it.
But the game play had something to do with the center of the screen and a home base where it keep people/genies kinda in a bottle like and something would come take them away. Something like a Yars revenge like.
Now this was between 82-85 in that time frame..
Any one have any ideas....
If more come to memory...i will post...
thanks !!

Was it........

.....Ali Baba And 40 Thieves?

I don't recall ever seeing that one before, looks like it could be a fun one to try out...

That description sounds like Rip Off. Except for the part about genies.

Hmmm...King and Balloon?

There's a genie in Arabian.

other than that, games I can think of where you are trying to protect something from being stolen (besides King & Balloon) are The End and Donkey Kong 3...

LOL After all these years, i finally figured which game it was. I just bought that Arcade Encyclopedia, and found it. It was Cosmic Guerilla . Anyone have one to part with ??

Cosmic Guerilla? Nope- never heard of it. Check to see if anyone has one on VAPS.

Per VAPS, 11 members have this game.

I would suggest you message the closest one to you (who indicated it is okay to contact them and that they may be interested in selling their game). See if they want to sell theirs.

That is bad advice. Rules for signing up for vaps is to not contact members asking if they want to sell their games. If they wanted to sell a game, they would list it for sale. Stop giving shit advice to people.

If they have it indicated that they would sell it, it's fair game.

But you are right, I should have noted that and since I was inside the narrow "edit" window, I have amended the post.

Your feedback is a bit on the brusque side. You might want to tone that down - you can scare people off.

cmkryzer, neat to see someone with Faribault in their location. My dad's side of the family is up there and we moved there when my folks split. I went to Faribault High School.

I've been back in Colorado since 2002 but I do catch some of the Minnesota accent coming up now and then.

It's common sense that if they have a game marked "yes" that it's for sale, that it's fair game. That is not what you said at all.
All 11 games on Vaps are listed as not for sale.
You told him to look up vaps and contact the nearest person and ask if he'd sell it.
I don't have to tone anything down. If I see shit advice, I'll point it out however I see fit.

Lighten up, Francis. The high and mighty act wears thin fast.
