Can you print on regular overhead projector transparent film? All the laser printer film I have seen is white. Will regular clear work in a laser printer?

This says clear film, will it work?

I can't answer specifically about that stuff, but I have a cheap bubblejet printer, and print on clear stickers all the time. You can buy the stuff at OfficeMax, it's just a clear sheet of adhesive backed acrylic, you run it through your printer and print whatever you want on it, then cut it out. I use it to make new drop target stickers if I need any.

The stuff you pictured is safe for laser printers - it says it right on the box and it will work fine. The toner from the laser printer will bond nicely to it.

As to while laser-printer film - I've never seen white 'transparencies'. Either it's for some other purpose (it wouldn't work on a standard overhead projector), or it's got some kind of backing that needs to be removed.

Unless it says it's for laser or copier, do NOT run it through your laser printer! Laser printer and copiers use heat to bond the toner to the page, and if your transparencies are not made for that, they can melt in the printer! Most transparencies made these days are for laser/copier use, so you'd probably have to work hard to find the wrong ones anymore.

For ink jet printers, you just need a transparency that has a special finish (they say 'for inkjet printers', otherwise the ink simply runs off (yes, I've seen this tried).
