I finally got the pcb, hdd & jamma interface card from the seller. His initial issue was bad pcb. Turns out the memory stick was not seated completely.
So it boots and give me a red almost full screen "Police Trainer Not Authorized contact [email protected]."

The jamma has an iButton serial device installed.

Any advice on clearing this?
Thanks
Jack

Check the BIOS settings for the parallel port. Instructions on setting the mode properly can be found on their website.

Bios setting are by their book

Downloaded and checked - F1 to get into BIOS on this board. Everything set correctly - date is current. Parallel port is EPP. I believe the seller tried the jamma mega in another game as part of a troubleshooting process. This may have corrupted the security chip or ibutton.

Suggestions on how to reset or clear this error.
Thanks

kinda sounds like the mega jamma is bad or you have a different harddrive like STV or CFP instead of PT2 hooked up or the mega jamma security is set to one of those other games not PT2. Dont quote me though, I dont know a whole lot about that boardset, I have a STV that does that with CFP hooked up (Cross Fire Paintball)

Resolved!

Called Team Play and spoke to Jeff in tech support. He told me its the ibutton devive causing the red not authorized screen. Recommended I remove it and lightly scuff upper and lower contact area. Removal was a bit clumsy on my part. After removal I noticed board scratches around the back ibutton contact leg--its loose Pulled out the iron and reheated and reseated both ubutton contacts added a bit of new solder and verified flow up thru component side. Repowered and she's fixed. Appears that even with the back ibutton leg in the hole it was not connecting.
Jeff told me that if the ibutton failed its $100 to replace - but wanted to stall that option until no other choice.
Thanks All!
