Alright i have an astro city top plexi piece that had some spray paint i got on it i originally used citristrip gel stuff since all i had around and that's where my problem started. I noticed that it removed some of the paint but after i wiped the remainder of the stuff off and let it dry it showed white streaks like paint. I took the citristrip and applyed it again to try removing it and after using that, and other products i have only gotten it to get worse.

It goes away when its wet and it looks the way it should but as soon as it drys the frostyness and paint reapears. I have also tryed polishing it with turtlewax products for cars but no dice. I dont know what to do and dont know where i could even find a replacement if it comes down to that.

here are some pics:

I cant see the pics for some reason, but if it's etched from the product you put on it, you can try to wheel it out. Take it to an automotive detail shop and have them put some compound on it and use the buffer wheel. Again, I don't know if it will work depending on what happened to the plexi.

I've taken the plexi off of my sandblast cabinet and wheeled out the pitting until it was almost clear.

I can't see the pictures, but I would reccomend Novus #3, #2, then #1 with a buffing pad for a drill, but MAKE SURE you clean the pad inbetween polishes and also clean the plexi before use and buff off the polish inbetween polishes. Have the plexi on a cloth, I nearly ruined a marquee from having it on a cardboard box.

I've tried it. It hardly removes scratches like it's supposed to but clears up plastic. I saved a CIB Game Boy Play-It-Loud with it. The console and innerds were mint but the case was cloudy.

Edit: get it from videogameparts.com. It's so much cheaper there.

Thanks guys will try the novs then wet sand one and if it doe not work body shop here i come.

Alright the way i got this off was to use the same automotive rubbing compound and polish i previously used but this time i actually rubbed it a little harder. I also rubbed for a longer amount of time.

It all came off really well.

what ever you do do not put CITRISTRIP GEL!!!!! on plexi to try and remove spray paint. I ran out of my graffiti remover so i used that and what it did was leave a coat of wax that hardened really ugly and made the plexi frosty. Luckily it just rubbed right off.

What i used was TurtleWax product from k-mart.

Rubbing compound heavy duty cleaner
and Polishing compound & scratch remover.

I set the plexi on a towel to not damaged the side where the art was.( I recommend you use a soft towl and one you will probably never use ever again)

I rubbed the Rubbing compound first (Brown color)

after a while of rubbing it in the waxy stuff started coming off that was left from the Citristrip

I wiped of the compound with a paper town then started with the polish and did the same as above.

I rinced the remaining of the compound off and wiped it clean and it was done.
