I recently got into the arcade hobby and bought my first project; a ccentipede. I know nothing about arcade monitors but I knew that the one I had probally wouldn't work. There was no pcb at the time so I couldn't test it but it had major screen buns and the guts of the monitor doesn't look great. I was going to get a new monitor anyways after I play it and want to sell or trade it but I want to test my new pcb. I attached pictures so if any expierienced KLOVer can tell me if it would work or if I can fix it that would be help full.

Also if it won't work and anyone has an extra working 19 inch monitor I would be more than happy to buy it from you.

Thank you

Only way to find out is to try it and see if it works. It's pretty standard. Electrohome G07.

Unfortunately your focus pin has broken off the end of the tube... you could probably still test it with it but the screen won't have any focus, all you'd be able to tell is if the chassis actually fires up.

I bet the tube lost vacuum. It looks like it's pretty far up there.

Look at the flyback and see if there is a crack in it. The flyback is in the corner with the red wire that is going up to the crt. It has a gray cup on the end. If it does the chassis will need to be repaired.

I think your best bet is to just get a different monitor. I mean you could do a tube swap and repair the chassis. However being new to the hobby a tube swap may be to much. Repairing the chassis probably you could do. Electrohomes are not that hard to repair.

So I know this thread died a long time a go but I just now got to testing the monitor. When I plugged it in I got quite a surprise. Despite not being rebuilt, burned screen, and being really old the monitor was really bright and barely any lines or color issues. The only problem was the one described earlier; the monitor is extremely out of focus. I was wondering if there is anyway to repair the focus pin? I know a guy that would sell me a working monitor but repairing the one I currently would be cheaper. Keep in mind I that I am new to this and repairing the monitor might be hard.

Thank you for your help
